FETC is one of the largest technology conferences of its kind in the world. There are over 10,000 educators, 4,000 exhibitors, 250 presenters and people from 49 states and 17 countries! The convention is at the Orange County Convention Center just outside "The World" of Disney.
Jeff Corwin, of Discovery Channel's Animal Planet gave the opening adress for the convention and discussed how educators have an amazing responsibility bestowed on them to empower our next generation. Jeff commented on the role of the educator to be the pathway of information to our children whether it be about technology, math, social studies or our environment. Jeff works with Discovery Education to connect Educators through their Educators Network and provide the best non-fiction television for educators to use with instruction. Jeff knows that it is through the educators that we will be able to share the critical state of our environment and what we can do to help preserve the environment for this next generation.

I browsed the Exhibitors Hall for an hour or so on Wednesday night and just took a sneak peak at all the amazing booths filled with technology resources. My favorite so far was the first day launch of Kidspiration 3 that includes an AWESOME math application!

Molly,
Glad to hear you made it! It was a balmy -12 this morning!
Did Jeff talk about the class that has created videos to teach him Spanish?
Here is a link to their site. I thought it was a creative application for a student project.
